They\u2019re often described as having a slightly \u201cstorybook\u201d presence\u2014big eyes, quick movements, and a tendency to perch, loom, or hover at the edge of a group like they\u2019re deciding whether to join the scene. Size can vary a lot (you\u2019ll occasionally meet a Fae who\u2019s <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">huge<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">), but the shared visual is the wings and that \u201ctoo alert for comfort\u201d posture.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h4 style=\"--fontsize: 60; line-height: 1.2;\"><b>HOME \u201cPLANET,\u201d HISTORY, AND CULTURE<\/b><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Fae are the odd ones out: <\/span><b>they don\u2019t have a confirmed homeworld<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. Fae folklore insists they <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">did<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u2014a lost place called <\/span><b>T\u00edr na n\u00d3g<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, where (allegedly) magic worked and their wings were more than vestiges\u2014but in ordinary Garden life that\u2019s treated as a legend (even many Fae don\u2019t agree on whether it\u2019s literal, metaphorical, or pure coping myth). What everyone <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">does<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> agree on is the practical history: Fae survived by living as stowaways on Servitor ships, learning routes, timing, and how to hop from vessel to vessel. Some chose space life; others secretly made their way down to planet surfaces, which is why \u201cfairy folk\u201d stories show up all over. Over time, key Fae figures were central to the diplomacy that became the <\/span><b>Transplanetary League<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, and the species split culturally into <\/span><b>spacefaring Fae<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (shipwise, networked, politically savvy) and <\/span><b>ground Fae<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (hidden communities, tradition-heavy, wary of attention). Their social superpower is that they love other peoples\u2019 customs\u2014they collect traditions the way other species collect gear, and they\u2019re often the ones hosting weird little cross-cultural celebrations because \u201cwhy wouldn\u2019t we try everyone\u2019s holidays?\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h4 style=\"--fontsize: 60; line-height: 1.2;\"><b>LANGUAGE, AND HOW TO \u201cSOUND LIKE ONE\u201d<\/b><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Fae speech is <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">not<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> built like normal \u201ctranslate-the-words\u201d language. It\u2019s built around states and social safety: instead of saying exactly what you mean, you say something like \u201cpressure is present\u201d (danger) or \u201cclosure\u201d (goodbye). To sound Fae in English, keep lines short, calm, and oddly abstract, like you\u2019re trying not to accidentally step on a social landmine. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Fae speech tends to avoid concrete nouns on purpose\u2014they\u2019ll describe <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">what something does to the situation<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> instead of naming the thing. So a Fae won\u2019t say \u201cServitor,\u201d \u201cgun,\u201d \u201cwormhole,\u201d or even \u201cship\u201d unless they\u2019re being unusually blunt; they\u2019ll say stuff like \u201cthe watcher,\u201d \u201cthe harm-maker,\u201d \u201cthe passage,\u201d \u201cthe carrying-place\u201d or just drop to pure state-talk: \u201cpressure is present,\u201d \u201cclosure,\u201d \u201centry is offered,\u201d \u201ca price is forming.\u201d In RP, lean into this by circling the object with function\/role words, and only \u201csnap into nouns\u201d when you want to signal urgency, intimacy, or a deliberate escalation (it reads like you\u2019re breaking a taboo to be clear).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Avoid hard commitments (\u201cI swear,\u201d \u201cI promise,\u201d \u201cI will definitely\u2026\u201d) unless you <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">want<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> it to feel serious. Drop in a few Fae anchor-words and you\u2019ll read instantly as Fae: <\/span><b>kopo<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (attention), <\/span><b>eth<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (settled\/yes\/okay), <\/span><b>doru<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (withdraw\/no), <\/span><b>prel<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (pressure\/danger), <\/span><b>gava<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (gathering\/meeting), <\/span><b>or<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (closure).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h4 style=\"--fontsize: 60; line-height: 1.2;\"><b>NAMING YOUR AVATAR<\/b><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Give your Fae a <\/span><b>cover name<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u2014something safe to use in public\u2014because \u201ctrue names\u201d are treated as a <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">big deal<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> in Fae culture. This is why most Fae you see in the game lore are using names drawn from Terran culture. But you can feel free to steal from any language and any culture for a name! <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You shouldn\u2019t use your true name in the game at all. But if you want to develop one, keep it <\/span><b>short (1\u20133 syllables), breathy, and vowel-forward<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, with soft consonants (<\/span><b>k \/ p \/ t \/ r \/ l \/ s \/ w<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">) and not many hard \u201cthunk\u201d endings. The easiest pattern is: <\/span><b>(soft syllable)(soft syllable)<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, and if you want a slightly more formal vibe, make it a two-part name where the second part sounds like a state-word: <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Kopo-Rie<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Len-Prel<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Eth-Gava<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Thira-Sela<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u2014stuff that feels like it could be both a name and a tiny sentence.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h4 style=\"--fontsize: 60; line-height: 1.2;\"><b>ROLEPLAY TIPS FOR PLAYING A FAE<\/b><\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Be careful with certainty.<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> You\u2019re comfortable with \u201cmaybe,\u201d \u201cnot yet,\u201d \u201cpressure present,\u201d \u201cclosure\u201d \u2014 and you get visibly tense around oaths and promises.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Collect traditions.<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> You\u2019re the one who knows everyone\u2019s holidays, taboos, greetings, and comfort-food rituals\u2014and you actually enjoy it.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Space Fae vs ground Fae is a real cultural divide.<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Space Fae are networked and pragmatic; ground Fae are secretive and tradition-guarding. Pick a side (or play the friction).<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Treat the \u201cother world\u201d as disputed lore.<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Some Fae talk about the Veil\/T\u00edr na n\u00d3g like it\u2019s history; others roll their eyes and call it stories for children.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Understatement is your drama.<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> You don\u2019t shout \u201cDANGER!\u201d \u2014 you say \u201cpressure is present,\u201d and everyone who knows you should instantly worry.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Show emotion through motion.<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Wing fluttering, stillness, turning away (\u201cwithdraw\u201d), stepping closer (\u201cattention turns toward you\u201d).<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Be good at being overlooked.<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> You learned to survive near Servitors;
